California Love - Terrine

This is the last of my Los Angeles posts. I do have to say I saved the best for last. I have read about Terrine and saw write ups by bloggers I follow who live in California for a couple months now. I told the Frans that I wanted to go and it just happened that one of Meredith's dear friends (whom I now love dearly too) works there!

Terrine is a California Brasserie, which means they serve rustic french food cooked with a California flare.  The space is full of light and boast the most luscious back patio dining space.

What's a little California brunch without some French Rosé.

We started with the Assiette de Charcuteries. Which translated in English to freaking awesomeness.

We shared a number of beautiful dishes. Avocado Toast, Frisée Aux Lardons, & a Bibb Lettuce and Avocado Salad.

Main courses on the table included the Huevos Resaca, Herb Spaetzle & Eggs in Purgatory.

It was truly a luxurious and delicious afternoon.

Peace out LA, it was real. Back to life in NYC.

California Love - Downtown Vibes & Wedding Bells

So the reason we went to LA was to see our friends Jenny & Greg get married. The wedding took place in Downtown LA, so we stayed nearby. The morning of the wedding we popped a block over from our hotel to Bottega Louie to fuel up on some brunch before the festivities.

The food was delightful and hit the spot. The unique shining star was the Portobello Fries. They successfully fried a mushroom people!

We dined on the Smoked Salmon Benedict, Farmers Market Breakfast and Breakfast Flatbread.

Bottega Louie had a Ladurée vibe but much less intimate. The space was vast with high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and totally starch white. The colorful desserts popped in the space and were beautiful to the eyes.

With a bit more time to spare, we headed over to the Ace Hotel for a cocktail. No offense NYC, but I wish our Ace was this awesome. Coffee, food, outdoor spaces and a rooftop pool!

Finally, it was wedding time! Congratulations to Jenny and Greg Weidman. We love you so much! It was an honor to be there to celebrate your special day.
